This canal-side industrial building in London was in the process of being converted – no trace of dampness would be acceptable for the new luxury apartments. It was impossible to reduce the external high ground levels since they formed the towpath.
We installed a Newton 508 cavity drain membrane as a barrier to penetrating and rising dampness – water was penetrating laterally due to the external high ground level. Any water build-up behind our membranes was able to be drained by gravity to the internal courtyard. Richard and Angela can be seen inspecting one of the jetting eyes which are required for maintenance.
