Diagnosis
Stonehouse was appointed to install a sedum green roof over the new swimming pool building in the garden of a listed property in Newbury. The green roof would allow the building to blend into the surrounding countryside and was a major factor in gaining planning permission.
Solution
We applied our system over the single ply membrane with a 20mm reservoir board, filter lightweight soil mix and specialist sedum mix grown as a mat enabling the sedum to establish quickly.
Stonehouse also waterproofed the main house original brick cellar using a Type C cavity drain membrane, damp-proofed the ground floor and waterproofed the new pool plant room basement using a cementitious Type B system.
