ROYAL COURTS OF JUSTICE

Diagnosis
This Grade 1 Listed landmark has a labyrinth of unused basement areas. With space at a premium, the Courts looked at converting the brick basements into offices.

Solution
A cavity drain membrane system was proposed as this is fully reversible. With only minimum pointing of the mortar joints to fill fixing holes, it is possible to restore the areas to the original condition. This was agreed and accepted by English Heritage and our clients were so delighted with the works that the vaults are now used as a social area.
