Diagnosis
This inspection was carried out in conjunction with the NHBC claims investigator. Our findings were that there was a lack of any attempt at an effective waterproofing system in this new property.
Solution
We instructed the main contractor to strip all finishes from the basement and these were re-instated following our installation of a cavity drain membrane system. No pumps were required as we were able to drain water to the lower levels at the sea-facing side of the property.
