Diagnosis
This underground garden room floods when the adjacent River Thames rises to a high level, water entering from all directions through the roof, walls and floor.
Solution
We designed and installed a fully encapsulating system with Newton Acriflex to the roof structure, re-enforcing the concrete building using Vandex BB75E and a full Newton cavity drain system.
The flint wall was cut back in sections to gain access to the weak roof / wall junction down the side elevation, allowing a continuous waterproofing detail before rebuilding.
