The red door leads to a wonderful new commercial office space in the City of London. Formed by arches supporting the road above and just minutes away from St Paul’s Cathedral.
Using the Newton cavity drain membrane system we were able to effectively create a dry Grade 3 space where previously the voids were derelict. Our fixings were independently ‘pull tested’ to ensure the brick substrate was adequate and the under Andy’s guidance (using experience drawn from a very similar contract we completed in Gibraltar) we systematically water proofed each arch allowing percolating water to drain into two sump chambers in the floor.
When complete this will be an enviable new workspace, another example of Stonehouse making previously unusable spaces desirable & exciting.
Well done to Andy, Vali, Lucas and Luke – a technically challenging project successfully
